Hi I’m Sam. I started taking pictures from the age of about four, when my Dad put my first camera in my hand. A few years later he put some film in it.

Since then I’ve loved taking photographs. I love the way a photograph freezes a moment in time and changes it into something timeless. When we look through old photographs they are like postcards from the past, reminding us of old friends and the experiences we’ve shared and telling the stories of our lives.

I think that’s just what wedding photographs should do. Yes they should bring back memories and emotions from the day but they should also say something about how each couple felt about each other on that key moment in their lives.

And weddings are great fun! I get to meet all sorts of people and share the best day of their lives with them. Who wouldn’t want to do that?

When I’m not taking photographs I enjoy watching old movies and brainless TV. I have also recently started fencing and fancy myself as a fledgling musketeer. Oh and I like to sing. Very loudly and very, very tunelessly.
